A CTA of the lower extremities (Figures 3, 4, 5) revealed a right-sided unruptured giant saccular popliteal artery aneurysm of 8.5x8.6x16.8 cm with significant mural thrombus. This case report describes a saccular internal jugular venous aneurysm, which is a rare entity in the head and neck. We present the characteristics, clinical aspects, diagnostic tests, complications and surgical treatment of such an aneurysm.
